Post a pic Aaron and I'll tell you the year.
You can back date that 4 cyl 650 easily with just decals or go a little further back with a paint job & decals and no one would be the wiser Grin

Oh.... and I meant 67 not 76!!!

From the Ebay ad:

I put it at 67/68 but I have not been able to find and example with the exact decals.

And don't you guys give me a hard time about the price!

The cowl (?sp) looks fantastic. Who cares whether it works , or how much you paid?!! It'll add hugely to the aesthetics of your boat. And the "tinking" value is priceless for those who love to tink with old motors as you obviously do.

Ok, first question...

Forward controls: What year ranges or types will suit outside of 67-69?

Pics would be invaluable and I might look to Ebay USA due to the exchange rate and bigger choice than here ;-)

I don't know for sure about the 67, but what you need to do is look at the pin configeration. I have had 2 of the same year merc but the pin configeration was different. A picture of the male bit (motor) will have to be included when you search.
You never know, someone amongst us may have the exact control you are after.

I found the wiring diagram for it.

It is actually a 7-pin on the contol side but 6-pin on the motor side (the 'E' or salmon coloured pin isnt on the motor side)

Here is the wiring diagram with pin configuration: http://www.maxrules.com/oldmercs/Wiring/1966ona/28.jpg

Does that help?
