Well, actually, not for 1958!

I love this kind of stuff when someone uses You Tube.

This was, and is a great bit of advertising of the day. Funny but "Old man K" only stated this for petrol or gasoline class. (That is what all of the classes and other numbers of same mentioned)

Alcohol / Methanol has been missed here a LOT!

I invite further posts here please as the fastest outboard is well documented for 1958. It was NOT Mercury! They were playing a catch up game and trying to do advertising for engines running on Gasoline only. They had no other technology for anything else at the time. Mind you, a great effort and I wish that I were actually involved in that!

So what do you think!

Yep gotta agree. Loved it. Somewhere in my films I bought a silent 16mm film of an old outboard race that I have never projected. This has prompted me to search it out.
