In the late 60's Sid Goldfinch progressed from his mono boat Viva la Savage to the Unlimited/Unrestricted class with his boat named Lil' Fox which Sid built himself.
Sid bolted on a new weapon from Mercury known as a "BP" Merc. The BP stood for Blue Printed. It was a full factory race motor produced by Mercury for selected drivers only, not many BP's made it to Australia.
The motor was based on the 1968 125hp but it had "quincey pipes" port mods' and a full racing bottom end. The word was it cranked out around 180 hp, I recall.
Despite many attempts on the kilo run, Sid never cracked the ton with this small tunnel boat.
