Hadyon Hydrodyne Count

Please list as much info as you know about the boat.

Lets see if it ends up like the Javelin count, with any more than anticipated!

Number 1:  SWISH

Swish is in Bendigo, Victoria.  Purchased from Geelong in early 2010, the gentleman had it for about 7 years, he purchased it from a dealer that was closing down, i believe in Melbourne.

Motor is Mecrury 1963 85hp  (although currently not going, and not attached to the boat, for the observant people, yes, its because its a short shaft motor and the transom is now long shaft!)

Trailer is a unique looking Rice trailer

It appears to be very original other than the transom and the steering wheel (i have original to reinstate), although i cant confirm its original, as i havent seen another original, but there aren't any signs of a refurb, but perhaps the red colour on the top being repainted.

Hello All

Long time since Iíve been on the Board. Great to see so much activity happening.

I dragged this one home today, a pretty tired and basic boat.

The bad stuff (that Iím aware of):
No engine
No trailer
Trim gone
Floors shot
Transom shot
No seats
Very few fittings and hardware

The good stuff (that I am aware of):
Itís in my backyard
Original (supposedly) steering wheel, although itís a mess
Windscreen
Some fittings and hardware
ID labels Ė original rego was BO87, last reg was 1972
Haydon data plate Ė Model No H15, Serial No 638

Greg

Hi Greg,

Congrats! It's awesome! Can I ask where you found it and what you know about its history? I am always so curious!! I have original seats if you would like some pics to make them, they look like they would be straight forward. My steering wheel is similar, but slightly different, it had a H on it in the centre.

Thanks Emma

I was told about the boat by a friend. It was with owned by an ex-boss of his, who had owned it for some years. I have no history at all on the boat. It looks to have spent all its life in Victoria, going by the rego number on the plate and that still on the hull. It looks like it has done a fair bit of time in salt water as well, judging by the corrosion on the fittings. I am just down the road from you in Heathcote.

As an aside, how's KOOKIE going?

Greg
