G'day
Enjoyed pulling apart the "mixed heritage" 50 HP that went on the back of the Academy (see "flop Moulded Galaxy, Startfire? -In Projects & Restorations). The  engine trolley looks a bit empty and I thought I'd start looking for another that has less mangled & missing bits. I 'd make more of an effort to go toward original next time round. Maybe to go on a small tunnel hull or wingboat style mono retro-recraft.
Would have be a mid sized merc. Is there any strong arguements for a 50 or 65? Also when did CDI first come in -year/band? I reckon I prefer to go with a more modern ignition.
Thanks for all the info to date
